My mind was jumpy since this morning, and that’s without coffee. Focus was a challenge. My thoughts about my life, my business, seemingly everything, were intertwined in an anxious mess.
When my mind is racing through an obstacle course, or even totally lost, the best solution I’ve found is to turn within. Full stop. To breathe a deep intentional breath. To feel calm. To be open and available for divine insight.
I’ve heard Michael Beckwith put it this way: “The way in is the way out.” I like that. It is also true. Through meditation, it is possible to experience extended periods of peace and clarity. It is proven science.
So late this afternoon I took a deep breath. My mind got quiet. Obsessing over what I should do was replaced with an intuitive feeling around the word “belief.” It was a reminder from Spirit to reconnect with my belief, to plug myself back in to the cosmic electrical grid of unlimited expansion and opportunity.
Many times I’ve received messages and guidance while meditating. This booster shot of positivity came to me today:
Be still and believe.
Be who you are.
Be like who made you. I made you.
Be kind. Be generous. Be loving.
Be caring. Be giving. Be hopeful.
You are miraculous.
I created you for miracles.
I created you for greatness.
I created you for loving kindness.
I created you to experience my abundance.
I created you to experience my endless favor.
You are whole. You are complete.
You have everything you need to succeed.
You are ready for the journey.
I Am on this journey with you.
Hold my hand.
Together we will go far.
Together we are unstoppable.
I Am the Great I Am and I Am inside of you.
You are inside of me.
I Am All There Is.
Together we are One.
Yes! Be still and believe! It is not enough to be still. Results require belief.
What do you need to believe in order to succeed on your journey?
What limiting beliefs do you need to overcome in order to begin?
Sometimes our restless minds talk us out of starting on the journey because it seems too difficult, or we do not feel prepared for what may be ahead.
Often it may appear in our current situation as if achieving our dream is impossible. So we question the wisdom to fully surrender to our belief. In other words, we are not believing in our belief.
This is the time to shift your focus. You do not need to see to believe, but believe to see. Start by seeing yourself as God sees you, and to see God in yourself and in everyone.
Be still and believe. The courage to do so is already in you. Then accept the challenge to still believe no matter what external signs or conditions may look like.
Now go take your first step.
