Why Aren’t We Awesomer?

tedx_michael_neillMichael Neill asks: “Why is it that some days we can get up in the morning and feel touched and inspired by the hand of God, and other mornings we can’t be inspired to take a shit?”

Good question! The good news is that Neill also has the answer.

Neill, founder of Supercoach Academy, teaches that thoughts are not things. They are simply thoughts, some more useful than others.

“Just because you have a thought in your head doesn’t mean it’s your thought,” Neill says in his TEDx talk. “It doesn’t mean it’s true.”

The mind works like a projector with your thoughts moving across your personal movie screen.

“You’re not insecure. You just think you are,” Neill says.

So how will you be awesomer? Learn how to watch your thoughts and then take charge of your life.

“No matter how far away it seems, you’re never more than one thought away from a whole new experience of being alive,” Neill says.
