Vincent and Sam radiate the power of possibility, even in the most unlikely of places.
I learned about their Marou chocolate brand through a video made by my friend Sheigh Crabtree and her husband Matt Uhry. Vincent is a former neighbor of theirs (in L.A.) and a lifelong friend. They turned a visit with Vincent and Sam at their Saigon base into a short documentary on the partners’ venture.
Vincent and Sam’s tenacity is inspiring. To put out a good product, with worldwide sales, they must hustle harder than Hershey.
“To get the best (cocoa) beans we have to get our asses in the car and drive into the countryside,” Sam says in the video.
